Cara F. Morehouse is an attorney with a variety of legal experience in
the State of Florida ranging from wills and trust, civil litigation, and
property disputes. Before opening Morehouse Wills & Trust, Cara was
supervising partner at a Tampa law firm practicing in the areas of
Personal Injury Protection defense and Declaratory Actions, including
SUI/Fraud, medical coding issues, fee schedule disputes, and Examinations
Under Oath. During her time practicing in the areas of insurance defense,
she litigated across Florida, and was named in several County Court
opinions due to her motions practice and oral advocacy skills.
In addition to her time as a supervising partner of the Personal Injury
Protection Defense group, she handled automobile and motorized vehicle
matters for major national insurance carriers, and even has experience on
the other side, representing plantiffs in a wide variety of litigation
cases, primarily including, property disputes, motor vehicle accidents,
premesis liability, medical malpractice, insurance disputes, and class
actions.
Cara was born in Polk County, Florida. She gradutated from the University
of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and
Minor in Economics and attended law school at Florida Coastal School of
Law. While in law school, Cara was actively involved in volunteering her
time and skill as a member of the Pro Bono community for the Trust and
Estates Clinic. Additionally, Cara represented Florida Coastal School of
Law while competing against teams from across the country inthe American
Bar Association Client Counseling Competition. Cara is a member of The
Florida Bar and admitted to practice in the U.S. Middle District Court
for the Middle District of Florida.
